With over two decades of expertise in studying ancient wisdom traditions, we offer games that spark enlightenment and foster a deeper connection.
Enlightenment Games, LLC was founded in the summer of 2024, by life-long spiritual friends, Zach Perlman and Mike Spurling. The company operates out of a small, single office, in Eugene, Oregon. MEET THE FOUNDERS
ZACH PERLMAN
Welcome! I'm Zach Perlman, Founder of Enlightenment Games.
My background in religious studies spans over two decades, with a focus on Kabbalah, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Interfaith.
In my early 20's, I spent a year living with monks of the Ramakrishna Order of India. A few years later, I was initiated into Buddhism by the Dalai Lama. Following this, I spent several years working at the Philosophical Research Society, digitizing the contents of Manly P. Hall’s occult wisdom library.
I’m also a big fan of meditation and take my practice seriously. At this point, I've explored numerous types of meditation, often finding it challenging to choose just one. I've delved into mindfulness exercises, chanting mantras, visualizations, concentration meditations, breathing techniques, and even drumming meditations—each offering unique benefits.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me playing guitars, reading philosophy books, or trying to meditate near waterfalls.

MIKE SPURLING
Hey there! I’m Mike Spurling, co-founder of Enlightenment Games.
My journey here has been shaped by my love for history and culture; a deep fascination with things like Freemasonry, Taoism, and consciousness studies. Such diverse traditions are what inspired me to help make our games, blending ancient wisdom with modern storytelling, influences the narratives we create.
My background in business goes back more than 20 years. Being fluent in business development, management, operations, and logistics, my goal is to see that our projects flow smoothly from start to finish.
Aside from my day job, I have served on the board of directors of multiple nonprofit organizations including as Vice Chairman at Monks Without Borders.
Outside of work I enjoy philosophizing about all things esoteric, expanding consciousness, and engaging in ritual practices.
